The Optimism That Walked Through Hell
In life, so many things happen—
the joyful, the painful,
the unexpected.
But in my world,
I have mostly felt happiness.
Perhaps it’s because I’ve lived through more than most my age;
each experience becomes a step toward growth,
a quiet transformation.
I no longer hold onto unpleasant things.
I accept, and I let go.
I refuse to cling to small troubles that cloud the heart.
So you won’t see me
weighed down by minor worries anymore.
I no longer act on impulse—
instead, I’ve learned calmness, reason, and ease.
It’s a state of mind,
a kind of peace that rises from within.
To me,
only life’s great upheavals
truly count as “experiences.”
And because I’ve been through them all,
I’ve learned to smile,
even after walking through hell.
